1. How to Calculate the Annual Leave of Helper
An employee is entitled to 7 days' annual leave with pay after serving every period of 12 months under a continuous contract.
An employee's entitlement to paid annual leave will increase progressively to a maximum of 14 days according to his length of service as follows:

2. What Employer/helper should do for contract termination ?
- If the Employer/Helper wish to terminate the contract, One Month Notice or 1 Month Salary in-lieu of such be given to Helper/Employer.
- The Employer should provide a one-way-ticket to place of origin with travel allowance from airport to the Contractual Address of Helper
- Please fill up and sign ID 407e form and send to Immigration Department
Othe payments by Employer for releasing a helper:
- all outstanding wages;
- payment in lieu of any untaken annual leave, and any pro rata annual leave pay for the current leave year;
- payment in lieu of any untaken statutory holidays;
- where appropriate, long service payment or severance payment; and
- any other sum due to the FDH in respect of the employment contract e.g. free return passage, food and travelling allowance
An employer should pay long service payment to his/her FDH if the FDH has been employed continuously for not less than 5 years and is dismissed (or his/her contract is not renewed) by reason other than serious misconduct of the FDH or redundancy.
However, an employer is not required to pay both long service payment and severance payment to the FDH.
